Posted on 9 December 2022

Paul Clements-Hunt recently sat down with Bloomberg to discuss ESG, specifically, the increasing popularity and scrutiny over the term and why it represents opportunities for sustainable development and growth.

A defender of the term ESG, Paul notes that organisations need to tackle environmental, social and governance issues together, rather than treating them separately. He suggests that economic growth can be achieved and sustained through “regenerative capitalism” – a model which prioritises ESG issues and moves away from a reliance on using up limited environmental resources.

Speaking to the reporter, Paul said: "Stripping away the white noise and politics, ESG is simply a way to manage new and evolving risks as a result of policy changes, and mitigate them where you can… [It] come[s] as a package. It's not E and S and G. It’s ESG.”
